Contraindications

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to tramadol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
  • in the case of acute poisoning by alcohol, sleeping pills, painkillers or psychotropic drugs (medicines with effects on mood and emotional life).
  • if you are taking MAOIs (certain medicines used to treat depression) at the same time or have taken them within the last 14 days before treatment with this medicine.
  • if you suffer from epilepsy and this cannot be adequately controlled by treatment.
  • as a substitute for drug withdrawal.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
• Your doctor will discuss with you before you start treatment and regularly during treatment what you can expect from using the medicine, when and for how long you should use it, when you should contact your doctor and when you should stop using it.
• The dosage should be adjusted according to the severity of your pain and your individual sensitivity. As a general rule, the lowest dose that relieves pain should be chosen. Do not take more than 400 mg of tramadol hydrochloride daily unless prescribed by your doctor.
